300 is the basic, opening tier of the standard SR series. Below it, only the beginner GSR models exist. 300 basses compete in the lower intermediate class, the most crowded and most competitive class on the market. Variant 370/375 models introduced for 2016 offer the same tone and playability, the same construction and design, but have alternative tonewood choice. Hardware and electronics are also in accordance with SR300 conventions. SR375, one of the four 370/75 models introduced at 2016 NAMM, comes clad in beautiful Aged Whiskey Burst outfit. Gloss finish and Cosmo Black hardware add to the overall classy feel.
SR375 is a simple, modern bass guitar, with a carved-top body and super fast neck. The body is made of maple, while the five-piece neck is made of maple and rosewood. 24-fret fingerboard sitting on top of the neck is made of rosewood. Medium-sized frets, dot inlays, 1.77" nut and 12" radius comprise the fingerboard.
Ibanez catalog is ruled by passive pickups & electronics and the SR range is no exception. Lower tiers come with stock PowerSpan humbuckers which replace the Bartolini MK-1 soapbars and Nordstrand "Big Single" sets found on more expensive models of the regular SR, Premium and Prestige series. Stock Accu-cast bridge and die-cast tuners are the main features of hardware section.
