SRAS7 is one of the most impressive creations from Ibanez`s Bass Workshop. It is a hybrid bass, combining the fretted and fretless construction, as well as conventional magnetic and piezo amplification. It is available only in Dragon Eye Burst (against black hardware and pearl inlays). SRAS7 starts off with a big, double-cut SR body made of mahogany wings with poplar burl/ash top. The neck is made of seven pieces of maple, purpleheart and rosewood and sports a hybrid fingerboard on top. The fretted part is made of rosewood (medium frets, pearl inlays), while the fretless side is made of purpleheart. Two parts share one, 2.48" wide string nut. SRAS Super J single-coil pickups, AeroSilk piezo pickups-loaded Monorail V bridge and Gotoh tuners complete this hybrid beast.
