SR series is the backbone of Ibanez bass catalog. It is single most important and biggest bass series with Ibanez badge. Over the course of the years, SR has diversified into several series, most prominent being Prestige, Premium, Standard (named just SR) and GSR (belongs to super affordable GIO range). Recently, Ibanez Bass Workshop started utilizing SR models, among others. The latest SR model to receive the Workshop treatment is the five-stringed juggernaut named SRSC805. This beast rocks the standard 34" scale, neck-through-body construction, passive electronics and exclusive hardware. natural Flat and Deep Twilight Flat are available color options. SRSC805 starts off with a solid and single-cut body made of mahogany wings and poplar burl cap on top. They`re glued onto the five-piece maple/purple heart neck. Full 24-fret fingerboard made of purple heart sits on top of the neck. It has oval abalone inlays, 1.77" nut, 12" radius and medium-sized frets. Bartolini`s legendary MK-1 soapbar pickups occupy the bridge and middle positions. Master volume, balance, three-band EQ (treble knob doubles as EQ on/off switch), EQ bypass and 3-way mid frequency switch. Needless to say, this beast can pull of anything and everything the player desires. Five-saddled Monorail bridge and deluxe tuners keep this five-stringed giant in perfect tune.
