Silhouette Bass is one of the most confusing guitars/basses available on the market. It stems from the well-known Music Man Silhouette series of electric guitars and, by all means it looks like a regular electric guitar. The only thing is it is not a guitar, it is an electric bass. With a scale of only 29-5/8", and six strings instead of four/five, Silhouette Bass is a borderline baritone guitar. Core construction features include a solid, double-cut poplar body, bolt-on maple neck (5-bolt joint, 2+4 headstock, series standard profile) and rosewood fingerboard (1-3/4" nut, 10" radius, dot inlays, 22 high profile frets). main hardware and electronics features include a Music man string-thru bridge, Schaller M6LA tuners and DiMarzio Custom Split humbuckers.
