When it comes to classic bass design, Sterling made by Music Man is right up there with the iconic Precision, Jazz and Thunderbird. It is widely regarded as the Music Man bass. Several different variants comprise the current lineup and the Sterling 5 is the series standard five-stringer. It features 34" scale, classic body design, bolt-on neck construction and classic styling. Body of this model is solid, double-cut and made of ash. It is fit with a standard oval pickguard on the top. Hardtail bridge has five saddles and chrome plating. Extended range humbucker is installed in the bridge, as well as a single-coil in the neck position. Standard volume and tone knobs are accompanied by a blade switch. Maple neck`s bolted to the body and topped with a 22-fret fingerboard (maple and rosewood fingerboards are available).
