Big Al models offer ultimate versatility packed in the intriguing double-cut bodies with a bit angular design and modern construction. Big Al 4 and 5 can be bought with either a single humbucker in the bridge position (Music Man`s classic pickups configuration), or triple single coil combo (more modern and Fender-like approach). Four-band equalizer and additional control switches are installed with both pickup variants. Body of the Big Al 5 is solid, double-cut and made of ash. It features a standard five-saddled bridge with chrome plating on it`s top. There are many color schemes offered for this model (both solid and sunburst options are available). Neck on this model is made of maple and it features the series standard contour in the back. Rosewood and maple fingerboards have 21 frets, while pao ferro fingerboard comes fretless.
