Along with the electric guitar, PRS also maintains small acoustic guitar and electric bass lines. SE range`s bass line is only two models strong, being formed by one Kestrel and one Kingfisher models. Both are roughly equivalent to the (electric guitar) Standard tier.
2017 incarnation of the popular SE Kestrel bass brings an offset body, full 34" scale and simple electronics and hardware features. Its color palette is limited to two options - Black and Tri-Color Sunburst (both finished in gloss). Core construction appointments include a solid, offset alder body (black pickguard on top), maple neck (walnut stripes, five-piece construction, through-body construction) and rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, Bird inlays, white binding).
Major hardware and electronics features include Hipshot TransTone bridge, HB6 tuners and PRS SE 4B single-coil pickups.
