Kingfisher Bass, along with the Kestrel, makes up the electric bass branch of the SE range. Like its companion, Kingfisher rocks neck-through-body construction, four strings, low price and a mighty tone. It too is a full-scaled bass (34" scale) with a flat-top body and passive electronics. SE Kingfisher kicks off with an offset, flat-top body, made of swamp ash wings and maple/walnut neck (through-body joint, SE Bass profile, 5-piece construction, classic 2+2 PRS headstock). 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (Bird inlays, 34" scale) tops the neck, completing the core construction features list. White and Tortoise Shell variants are available, both finished in gloss and equipped with chrome hardware. Major electronics and hardware appointments include two PRS SE Bass humbuckers, Hipshot bridge and Hipshot tuners.
