Sterling is Music Man`s sub-brand in charge of affordable guitars and basses. All of the Sterling-badged models are based on already existing Music Man instruments. They aim at working musicians, students, and pretty much everyone else looking for a quality, budget-friendly instrument. Ray4 is Ray series` standard model. It is a four-stringed bass guitar inspired by the legendary Music Man StingRay. Main features include a solid basswood body, six-bolt neck joint, characteristic Music Man electronics layout with a singular bridge pickup, and stock hardware. Ray4 has a wide color palette. All options have vintage Music Man pickguards, unpainted headstocks, and chrome hardware. Ray4 also offers a hard maple neck, 21-fret fingerboard, four-saddled hardtail bridge, and open-gear tuning machines. Sterling`s official site offers no pricing info.
