Warwick models which are made in China are named Rockbass and represent the budget friendly alternative to the original Warwicks made in Germany. As of 2012, Rockbass catalog is reinforced with Artist Line. The first bassist to receive his signature Rockbass is Robert Trujillo from Metallica. His models come in four and five string variants. Robert Trujillo Artist Line 4 is the basic model of the series and it comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of alder. Being a budget oriented model, Warwick opted to equip this bass with only what is necessary for the high voltage rock `n` roll. The bridge is a classic Warwick appointment, a house-made two piece bridge with four saddles and chrome plating. In the pickups area, there are two active EMG single coil pickups in the J/J configuration. They are controlled through active electronics provided by Warwick`s own brand, MEC. The neck is made of maple and it features ekanga wood veneers and four bolt bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it comes with a set of 24 frets, a custom Robert Trujillo inlay at the 12th fret and Just A Nut III string nut.
