Star Bass series is not Warwick`s original creation, though it might look like a series from the early 1980s with which Warwick tried to appeal to more traditionally oriented players. No, it is, in fact an extinguished line taken over from Warwick`s guitar brand, Framus. Star Bass series used to be one of the premier Framus bass lines. Today, it is revived under the Warwick flag. It`s Star Bass II Bubinga 4 Fretless model is one of the finest instruments in the entire series. It features a hollow and double-cut body made of laminated bubinga back, sides and top. Two over-sized single-coil pickups with split controls and a two-piece bridge are installed on the top. Ovangkol neck is set in and topped with a fretless wenge fingerboard.
