For 2012 Pro Series bass lines made in Korea are heavily updated with new series and models. One of these new series is Steve Bailey line of signature basses. It ranges from four to six strings. Only right handed models are available. Fretted and fretless variants are also on the menu. Steve Bailey Artist Series 4 Fretless is the starting fretless of the series and it shares a vast majority of it`s features with the fretted variant. It has a solid, double cutaway swamp ash body in combination with an ovangkol neck. Also, models of this series do not feature top woods or body binding of any sort. Black with gloss finish is the only color option for these models. Upon the ovangkol neck, a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard is placed. It features full 24-fret length and Just A Nut III string nut. On the other side of the 34" scale a Warwick two-piece bridge is placed. It has four saddles and chrome plating. In the pickups area active Seymour Duncan single coil pickups are arranged in J/J pattern. Seymour Duncan also provides the two-way active electronics with stacked control knobs. Volume and balance have push-pull slap switch, while the treble/bass knob has mute push-pull switch.
