Warwick`s Thumb Singlecut series is made for heavy duty bass tasks and comes in five or six string variants. Upper bout stretches all the way to the fourteenth fret and adds a significant amount of weight to already massive Thumb. This may prove to be challenging first, but the compensation players get with the tone and sustain is immeasurable. Thumb SC 6 comes as a solid, single cutaway bass with a body made of swamp ash back and bubinga pommele top. For the sake of simple elegance, Thumb basses don`t have top binding or any kind of pickguards, and natural oil is the only color option available. Dark bubinga pattern is countered with central light strip which comes from the flamed maple neck. The neck runs through the entire length of the body and features comfortable contour with backed up heel. Upon this neck, a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard with 26 frets is featured. The fingerboard also has a brass nut. In the electronics department, MEC takes care of the business, providing two passive humbuckers. One in the bridge and one in the neck position. They are controlled through master volume, balance, bass and treble knobs. 34: scale, black hardware, gloss finish and Warwick tuners complete the specs.
