AFJ85L is left handed variant of previously released AFJ85. This one comes as a fully hollow jazz guitar with all the vintage looks, feel and tone jazz purists desire. Single cut and made of carefully selected woods, AFJ85L is one of the most prominent hollow-body lefties in Ibanez catalog. Flamed maple is used for the back and side panels and spruce for the sound board. Rich and elegant appearance of this model is owed to creme binding around the top, elevated plastic pickguard and carved "f" holes around the bridge. Vintage sunburst is the only color option Ibanez AFJ85L has and it comes finished in high gloss. Bridge section is a two-piece, rosewood bridge sits in front, while the trapezoid tailpiece is in the back. Pickups installed on this jazz box are made by Ibanez and are installed in H/H pattern. ACH1 is in the bridge and ACH2 in neck position. Both are active humbuckers and have their own volume and tone knobs. Controls unit is completed with a simple three-way toggle pickup switch. Three-piece neck is set and made of mahogany and maple. Artcore contour is in the back. 20-fret fingerboard is equipped with block inlays, 12" radius and 1.69" wide string nut. Ibanez installs gold plated tuning machines on the headstock.
