NAMM 2012 brought two refreshments for Washburn`s Hollow Bodied series, with one of them being HB-17. It is a fully hollow single cutaway model with a body made entirely of mahogany. Top and back of this guitar are bound in white binding. Top also features an "f" hole on either side of the bridge. Both holes are bound in white to match the body binding. There are no pickguards featured on the top of this Florentine-cutaway hollow bodied guitar. Currently, the only color available is black matte. The bridge on this guitar is made of rosewood and features a trapezoid tailpiece. This adjustable bridge is in natural color, but the tailpiece sports black paint to match the rest of hardware. In pickups department, two active humbuckers are placed, one in the bridge and one in the neck position. These pickups are controlled through master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch. The neck is made of mahogany and features a set-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut. Grover Rotomatic tuners with 18:1 gear ratio complete the specs for HB-17.
