Starfire III with Bigsby is one of six electric guitars introduced into a newly established Newark St Collection by Guild Guitars. This series is an attempt to revive once mighty Guild fleet of the electric seas and it`s equipped with replicas of some of the mightiest ships which sailed under Guild sails. Starfire III is a double-cut concept with fully hollow body and set in neck joint. Strong and versatile pickups, along with superb construction quality and top shelf materials guarantee a supreme tone quality. Body of this model is made of laminated mahogany back, sides and top. Laminated construction gives a brighter and sharper tone. Both the back and sides are bound in elegant white binding and are arched. Top also features a pair of "f" holes. Tune-o-matic bridge has a rosewood base and Bigsby vibrato bar in the back. Guild humbuckers are installed in the front and they feature separate volume and tone knobs. One piece neck is made of mahogany. It`s set in and topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. 6105-sized frets, dot inlays, 1.65" bone nut and 9.45" fingerboard radius are featured on the fingerboard. Grover tuners are installed on the headstock.
