080S is currently the only compound-scaled model in Aristides catalog. It is located within the Extended series, along with regular-scaled 070 (seven-stringed) and 080 (eight-stringed) models. Other than fret positioning and available electronics options (slanted pickups are used on this one), 080S is a standard Aristides axe, itself. Body and neck of this behemoth are made of arium (a composite material developed by Aristides Poort and a team of scientists from Delft University) in a one piece body/neck configuration. Fingerboard is made of richlite (model on the photo has a black richlite version, though the white one is available as well). Other stock options in hardware and electronics departments include a slanted Hipshot bridge, slanted Bare Knuckle Aristides Custom humbuckers and Hipshot Griplock tuning machines.
