KX5FR-CQ is placed within the KX series of Cort`s superstrat models. The series features both Floyd Rose bridge type equipped and fixed bridge type equipped 24 fret models. KX5FR-CQ starts off with a solid basswood body with a double cutaway. It is available in black color with custom graphic designed by Stephen Jensen and finished in gloss. The bridge on this model is black clad Cort`s double locking III Tremolo bridge. Two Motherbucker pickups drive the sound of this guitar. they are controlled through master volume, master tone, push-pull function for coil splitting and a three-way toggle switch. The neck on this model is made of Canadian hard maple and features a comfortable, slim contour and a bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and is equipped with 24 large frets, white pearl block position inlays, locking nut and 15-3/4" radius. Other features on this model include: black hardware, die-cast tuning machines, D`Addario strings and 25-1/2" scale.
