Based on the historic 59 model, made by John D`Angelico back in 1959, current Deluxe 59 is an attempt to harness that late 50`s vibe and offer it to contemporary players. With the help of Seymour Duncan electronics and top-class build quality, 59 pulls it off with grace and ease. deluxe 59 rocks a single-cut and fully hollow archtop body, set-in neck and 22-fret fingerboard. The body is, following the series` standards, made entirely of flamed maple (laminated). Neck is, also by series` standards, made of maple and walnut. Rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets, block inlays and 1-11/16" wide TUSQ nut tops the neck. Deluxe 59 also features a combination of vintage wooden bridge and Stairstep tailpiece, a pair of Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups and Grover tuners.
