Excel DC is a classic proponent of the vintage ES styling and genuine rock tone. It belongs to the vast and versatile Excel series, being one of the most prominent models of the electric guitar segment. A staggering palette of nine color options (some with two or more hardware finish alternatives) is offered with this old school DC. Excel DC starts off with a semi-hollow (very similar to the old ES-335 concept), made of laminated flamed maple (back, sides, top), three-piece maple/walnut/maple neck (C profile, glued-in joint) and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (block inlays, medium jumbo frets, 1-11/16" bone nut). Major hardware appointments include a TOM bridge (both regular stoptail and "Stairstep" trapeze tails are available), Kent Armstrong pickups and Grover tuners.
