Excel Electric Guitars by D`Angelico Guitars
Excel series` B Style was first drafted way back in 1936, a long time before the solid-bodied guitars and electric pickups took over the guitar world. And, like all the classics, it is as important and beautiful as it was in the beginning.
Today`s Style B comes in with supremely elegant styling, classic design and modern day build quality. Supremely versatile tone is another hallmark of this gorgeous jazz box. The tonewoods selection includes laminated flamed maple (back of the body, sides), solid spruce (arched soundboard), maple (neck), walnut (neck), rosewood (fingerboard, bridge) and ebony (headstock veneer).
Style B`s major hardware and electronics features include a rosewood bridge, Stairstep tailpiece, Kent Armstrong floating minibucker in the neck position (one volume, one tone control) and Grover Super Rotomatic tuners.
