Korina was a hugely popular and widely used tonewood back in the `50s, but soon mahogany took its place as a more available and easier to work with tonewood. Today, korina appears sporadically, mostly on limited edition models. Hailfire EX Korina is not a limited edition model, it is a regular Hailfire. It comes with a solid and single-cut body made entirely of korina. The set-in neck is also made of korina. It features the thin and fast U profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (block inlays). Electronics department rocks the classic JB/`59 combo in bridge and neck positions, respectively. With the aid of coil-split switch, these hard & heavy veterans become a full-stack, all-round blues/rock/metal duo. Grover tuners and TOM bridge complete the specs list.
