Black Gold Z Flame Maple is one of the upscale models in the Classic Z series. Z models have been a part of the catalog since the beginning back in 1977 and are to this day considered one of Dean`s big four. Others are ML, V and Cadillac. Z is obviously made after the Gibson Explorer. Over the time, Z evolved from replica into a distinctive instrument with it`s own personality, tone and range of models. Black Gold Z practically offers the same specs as Black Gold V and ML models. Solid, single-cut mahogany body with bound flame maple top, carved top, glossy trans black color scheme, tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction, active humbuckers with gold-plated covers, set mahogany neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
