Dean Guitars, as a brand, have built their reputation on bold and daring designs and massive, pure rock tone. Their probably most prominent model is the ML, a mix between the V and Explorer models. SplitTail is also a mixed model. It`s front end of the body is taken from the iconic SG guitar and the back is taken from the Flying V. Body of this model is modern, flat on top and has set in neck joint. Metallic Silver, Classic Black and Dark Cherry color schemes are finished in high gloss. Neck is made of mahogany. It`s set in and equipped with V contour in the back. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard is installed on top. SplitTail features a pair of Dean USA Time Capsule humbuckers. Bridge section features a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction.
