Custom 550 Floyd Lefty is one of many electric guitars Dean unveiled at NAMM show this January. It comes with a set of six strings and it`s loaded with some of the best metal-oriented features around the market. It has a set of EMG actives in conjunction with master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch. EMGs installed on this model are 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck position. The most popular and most sought after combo of active pickups among metalheads. Bridge section boasts an original Floyd Rose bridge with six saddles and locking nut. It`s clad in black to seamlessly merge with Custom 550`s stealthy appearance. Body of this model is solid, double cut and carved on the top. It is made of mahogany in it`s entirety and it features neck-through-body construction. Black is the only color scheme available for this model. Neck is made of maple and it features the standard C contour in the back. Comfortable shape and contoured heel in combination with a deep cutaway give easy access to the upper frets. Fingerboard on the top is made of ebony and it features 24 frets with dot inlays.
