While the basic model of the Gran Sport series aims at rock and hard rock musicians, Gran Sport Floyd is made for die hard metal fans. Black body and headstock are contrasted with chrome hardware, thus giving a dark and mystical aura to this newly introduced six-stringer. Only black color with high gloss finish is available for this model. Body is solid, thin and double cut. It is made of mahogany in it`s entirety and it`s paired with a mahogany neck. Body features beveled edges, notorious "devil horns" cutaway design and a set in neck joint. Neck is equipped with Dean`s C contour. It is a comfortable shape with modern design and it`s dancing between the chunky and speed categories. On it`s top Dean Guitars install a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with modified trapezoid inlays. 1-11/16" string nut completes the fingerboard. Pickups on this one are USA DMT humbuckers. "Equalizer" is in the bridge and "Nostalgia" is in the neck position. Both feature open-coil design. Split volume and tone knobs are followed by a three-way toggle pickup switch. Bridge section features a classic combo: Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar.
