The X class (Dean`s affordable class made for inexperienced players and musicians who seek an affordable backup instrument) has claimed the largest number of new models introduced at NAMM. Virtually every major range (V, M, Z, Icon, Thoroughbred, etc) has received at least one X class model. ML`s new X model is named MLX Flame Top. The new X-class ML will be available in Trans Red (w/gloss finish, black hardware, white binding) and will cost $599 (the MSRP). Core construction features include a solid poplar body (flame maple top, white binding), maple neck (c profile, bolt-on joint, smooth finish), 22-fret jatoba fingerboard (1.6875" nut, 24.75" scale, dot inlays, 12" radius), a string-thru tune-o-matic bridge (w/V plate in the back), DMT Design pickups, and die-cast tuners.
