Splittail is one of the most interesting concepts in Dean`s catalog. It follows the mashup tradition which spawned such legends as ML, Razorback, Stealth and Cadillac. This time, the mix consists of V back and SG-like front.
Brand new Splittail X (introduced at 2017 Winter NAMM) is series` new entry level model, with MSRP set at $422.50 (price set at $299.00). Chassis of this budget-friendly hellhound is made up of a solid poplar body (beveled top, bolt-on neck joint, almost symmetrical cutaway horns), maple neck (C profile, 24-3/4" scale) and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (jumbo frets, dot inlays, 1-11/16" nut, 12" radius).
Other major features include a string-through TOM bridge, pair of DMT Design humbuckers (open BKBK coils) and sealed die-cast tuners.
