Michael and Rudolph Schenker are among the most famous brothers of rock n roll music. Right up there with Eddie and Alex Van Halen, Cavalera brothers, Dime and Vince Abbott. Also, they are probably the only players to share the signature series. For 2013 Dean Guitars have unveiled two models into the series and both have Michael`s name on them. The one reviewed in this article is named USA Michael Schenker Kaleidoscope. It is one of the most interesting guitars introduced at this year`s NAMM show. It comes with a solid, V-contoured body made of mahogany. Body of this hot rockin` six-stringer sports the vintage V contour with flat top and set in neck joint. Kaleidoscope is the name of the only color scheme available for this model. Body is finished in high gloss. Bridge section is a classic one, as it features a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction. Pickups on this one are USA DMT Michael Schenker "Lights Out" humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the classic C contour in the back. Fingerboard is made of ebony adn it`s equipped with 22 frets with a custom 12th fret inlay.

I have a kalidoscope guitar. I have several Deans. This being my favorite. Beautiful finish. Gotta love the tone and its comfortable. Get one. You will not regret it.
