Joe Bonamassa is one of the best young bluesers out there and his line of signature models extends even to Epiphone range. One of the Les Pauls made by Epiphone for Joe is this Goldtop. It comes with a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany base and plain maple top. Top panel of this goldie is bound in white binding and covered with a black plastic pickguard. Glossy gold top is countered with brown back and sides. Bridge section is a regular one, it features tune-o-matic bridge in the front with a stoptail bar in the back. Burstbucker 2 pickup is in the bridge and Burstbucker 3 in the neck position. D-shaped neck is made of mahogany, it`s set and topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Plays well, holds a tune, and has an awesome thick sound. This guitar is a beast and has looks that kill. If I didn't know better I would think I was playing a Gibson. The gold finish,Grover tuners, Burstbuster pick ups, and dark back kicks butt. I paid $700 and feel I got the best of this deal. It took three times before I got one that didn't have a busted neck. Turns out their cases had issues. I love it, but hate that Epihone headstock.
