Epiphone`s Limited Edition Emperor Swingster Royale is based on Epiphone`s Emperor II model and continues the long year tradition of archtop models from this brand
Arched spruce top and maple back and sides comprise the body of this Les Paul styled hollow bodied guitar. Amplification of this model is at the hands of dual swingbucker pickup combo placed in the bridge and neck positions. Split volume and tone knobs are accompanied by a three way toggle switch and push-pull feature on the tone knobs for easy switch between the series and parallel wiring. Neck is made of maple with slim taper contour and set-in joint. Rosewood fingerboard has 22 frets, block inlays and a 14" radius. Tune-o-matic bridge, Bigsby vibrato and the rest of the hardware is gold plated. The price ranges around $750.

Has all the features and fuctions that it said it would have. It would be nice to have one volume control as well but has really how many knobs do you need? Had a small bridge adjustment but this is how I would set it up and not everyone has the same. Finish is great but the photo's I looked at looks like a pine or cream binding but it is a gold sparkle binding instead. For a entry level guitar this is a great investment. I have always played acoustic and wanted to try a electric hollow-body but did not want to spend a couple of grand on a Gretch. Great features and finish but still have to get used to the gold trim work. If it was a pine color instead I would have liked it more.
I only give it a 9 because of the somewhat cheezy binding (orange/metallic sparkly). Not visible in most photos, but if they had used plain gold it would have been all class, less "Vegas". The gold sparkles make it difficult to see the "dots" marking the normal frets (3,5,7,...etc.) Setup perfectly when it arrived. Plays like butta, everything is just wonderful. The pickups, with the phase-switching tone knobs give almost any tone you desire. Bigsby is wonderful, and it STAYS IN TUNE (pinned, roller-bridge helps). This is my new #1 Every detail was better than I had hoped for. I waited for this guitar to come out, and I'm glad I did The perl-white/gold is beautiful. Were it not for the binding (that I still don't understand), it would be a 10. I painted my own flat-white dots on the side of the neck because the glitter makes it hard to see where you are.
