256 is a rather interesting tier, being half way between the classic 400 and 200 tiers. 400 tier lends it classy looks, while the electronics and hardware are taken from the 200 models. As for the tonewoods, 256 models can take over both 400 and 200 combinations. EC-256FM is a classic rocker, sporting a beautiful flame top, vintage control knobs and pickup rings. LTD`s colors of choice are Lemon Drop, Dark Brown Sunburst, See Thru Purple Sunburst and Cobalt Blue. All options come with solid mahogany backs, flame maple tops, three-piece mahogany necks and classic 22-fret rosewood fingerboards. Also, all four feature chrome-plated hardware. Regardless of color option, 256FM is also equipped with a two-piece top-load bridge, ESP Designed pickups (LH-150) and LTD tuners.
