Iron Cross is an interesting concept, co-created by James Hetfield and ESP. It is based on the single-cut Eclipse (LTD variant is EC) single-cut body shape, which it also shares with the mighty Truckster models. Iron Cross comes in both ESP and LTD variants. LTD Iron Cross is the more affordable of two Iron Cross models. It is offered through LTD catalog and offers a slightly different specs list than the exclusive ESP model. Solid and single-cut mahogany/maple body, set-in mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard form the chassis of this heavy duty axe. LTD Iron Cross comes in custom-designed Stripes Graphic outfit, with iron cross painted behind the bridge. Major hardware and electronics appointments include a two-piece TOM/stoptail bridge, black pickguard, locking LTD tuners and EMG JH Set pickups.
