Eclipse series or EC, as it is known in the LTD catalog, is the most important and prominent line of single cut guitars with ESP and LTD badges. Its role is to offer a multitude of alternatives to players who dig the classic LP, but want something more. Over the years, the accent has been on the development of metal-oriented guitars in order to give the Eclipse models their own style and voice. ESP has introduced one model in the LTD EC line for 2016, its name is EC-401FR. It is a single-cut guitar with set-thru neck, active electronics, 24-fret fingerboard and short 24-3/4" scale.
EC-401FR kicks off with a standard single-cut body made of mahogany back and a carved mahogany top. Both the top and the fingerboard are bound in elegant white binding. The neck is made of three pieces of mahogany and features a standard Thin U profile in the back. 24-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood and features flag inlays, 1.65" locking nut, as well as 13.77" radius.
EMG`s 81 and 60 guarantee the ultimate combination of ferocity, clarity and refinement. Two volume knobs, one tone and a three-way switch make up the controls. Floyd Rose Special bridge and Grover tuners round off the stunning specs list of the new EC-401FR.
