ESP`s Viper is one of the most popular SG-inspired series in the world, second only to Gibson/Epiphone SG/G models. Vipers are thoroughbred metal guitars, real mean killing machines dressed in classic twin-horned attire. For 2016, ESP`s E-II range is getting one Viper. Its name is E-II Viper Baritone, it is a six-string guitar with neck-thru construction, 27" scale and active electronics. Other standard features include black hardware, super slim neck contour and standard fingerboard specs. This long-scale Viper will be available in Satin Black.
E-II Viper Baritone kicks off with a classic rosewood/maple/mahogany combination of tonewoods. The distribution looks like this: mahogany is used for the body wings, rosewood for fingerboard and maple for a three-piece neck which also makes up the central portion of the body. The fingerboard has 24 XJ frets, dot inlays, 1.65" bone nut and 12" radius. Also, it is bound in white.
This time, ESP has opted for a mighty EMG 81/60 combo (81 in the bridge and 60 in the neck). One volume knob, one tone knob and a three-way toggle switch are found in controls unit. Two-piece hardtail bridge and Gotoh tuners wrap the specs list.
