Back in the early days of Metallica, before the legendary Explorer, a Flying V used to be James`s axe numero uno. The aggressive design and unholy roar of the humbuckers fit perfectly with young and wild frontman. Current ESP and LTD Vulture models catch all the ferocity and attitude of the classic, while offering updated, edgier design. ESP Vulture is the top Vulture in James Hetfield`s signature lineup. It starts with an asymmetrical V body, with beveled top and set-neck joint. The body is made entirely of mahogany and is combined with a one-piece mahogany neck with 22-fret ebony fingerboard on top. Satin Black is the only available color option. Major hardware and electronics appointments include a two-piece hardtail bridge, EMG JH set of pickups and Gotoh tuners.
