Gus-200 is a part of the new Gus G. signature series ESP has introduced for 2015. Along with other ESP and LTD novelties, this new and refreshed lineup made its debut at this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. On the surface, this LTD single cut does not differ much from the original ESP model, save the headstock logo and the visible bolt-on neck joint. But, a glance "under the hood" reveals these two are, after all, different instruments. Recognizable Star-shaped body of Gus-200 is made of basswood instead of mahogany (ESP Gus G. NT). Neck, on the other side, is remains the same, maple-made with a thin U profile (of course, the LTD version has the already mentioned bolt-on joint, instead of the set-thru joint used on the ESP models). Two-piece hardtail bridge unit is clad in black and fronted by a pair of ESP-designed LH-150 humbuckers. They`re passive, opposed to the active Duncans on the ESP models. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard replaces the ebony option found on the upscale variant. Finally, the Sperzel tuning machines are being replaced by a set of six LTD`s tuners.
