LTD section of the Eclipse series is named EC for an easier distinction between the two. Eclipse models can now be found in ESP Original, ESP E-II, ESP USA and Signature ranges, while the only range to contain EC models is LTD. New for 2015, EC-1000ETFM belongs to the top tier of LTD guitars, the awesome and exclusive 1000. 1000 models are the closest thing to an ESP without having the ESP badge. EC-1000ETFM might look like just another upper intermediate single cut LTD guitar, but a keen eye will spot the key difference in a fraction of a second. It is found tucked behind the bridge pickup. The name of this strange bridge-like contraption is EverTune. It combines mathematics, physics and love of music to deliver the tightest, most secure tuning and intonation ever. The trick is in the passive spring system beneath the surface and multi-point adjustability of each string saddle. Body of this super advanced EC is made of mahogany back and two-piece flamed maple top. The neck attached to it is made entirely of mahogany. Bound ebony fingerboard on top of the neck features 24 XJ frets, flag inlays and the standard 1.65" nut. Grover tuners found on the headstock ease the EverTune`s job a great deal. Electronics department of this 1000 tier EC is made up of Seymour Duncan`s SH-4 (bridge position), SH-2 (neck position), three-piece potentiometer unit (vol/vol/tone) and a three-way toggle pickup switch.
