MH series is one of the pillars of the ESP/LTD catalog and has been one ever since its introduction man, many years ago. Classic superstrat design, simple construction and high quality of build (even the lower LTD models feature serious quality) have made the MH one of the most popular metal guitars around the globe. For 2015, the MH is being updated with a pair of mighty baritones and MH-401B FM is the six-string option. It comes with a solid and double-cut body with classic MH features, such as a characteristically carved top and super deep cutaway. Wings of the body are made of mahogany, while the center is made of maple (maple neck runs through the body). See Thru Black Sunburst is its only color option and its finished in gloss. EMG`s 81 and 85 are featured in the bridge and neck position, respectively. Since the 85 can not be split, MH-401B FM comes with ordinary master volume and master tone controls. Three-way toggle switch completes the controls unit. Maple neck is fit with a hallmark thin U profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Bound fingerboard features thumbnail inlays, molded nut (1.65" wide) and 13.77" wide radius. Grover tuners are installed on the classic ESP headstock.
