In an attempt to revive the LTD-200 range of signature guitars and basses, ESP has introduced or revamped a bunch of 200 signatures on both sides of the catalog. One of the series which got their 200s reintroduced is the big and vast Stephen Carpenter signature series. LTD-208 is one of two Stephen Carpenter models unveiled at the 2015 NAMM. In a nutshell, this is the same guitar as the LTD SC-207, but with an extra string and a bit wider neck. But, let`s take it from the top and review it section by section. First of all, it comes with a solid, double-cut basswood body with a carved top. Gloss Black paint job against the chrome-plated hardware is the only color option. On top of the carved basswood body, ESP installs a hardtail bridge with eight saddles beneath which strings run straight through the body. ESP Designed LH-308 pickups come with the standard controls unit (master volume, master tone and a 3-position switch). Being its series` model, SC-208 rocks a thin, U-shaped maple neck with a bolt-on joint in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Classic ESP headstock features eight LTD tuners installed in a single descending line.
