ESP`s 2016 catalog is full of surprises and unexpected entries. Probably, the biggest one is the return of the hugely popular Stream series to the ESP Original range and onto the US market. For starters, ESP Original Stream series will have only three models, all with their own styling and tonewood and electronics combos. Stream GT STD is the standard model of the series. It is available in Titan Metal color with white plastics and chrome-plated hardware. Passive electronics, 24-fret fingerboard and classic Stream design are all there. Stream GT STD comes with a solid, carved body made of mahogany in its entirety and a three-piece maple neck. U-shaped neck is made of three pieces of wood and has an ebony fingerboard on top. This combination yields a slightly brighter and snappier tone than the Classic and CTM models which are dominated by warm-sounding tonewoods. Seymour Duncan supplies the pickups for the entire Stream series, and the Standard gets the SH-15/SH-2 pair. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch comprise the standard Stream controls unit. Like its two siblings, Standard features a hardware unit made up of a two-piece hardtail bridge and locking Gotoh tuners.
