Lars Frederiksen of Rancid and Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards fame is one of the most recent members to join the ESP/LTD signature artist roster. His first (and thus far the only) model, Volsung, is being refreshed and reissued for 2018. The notable changes to the new model include the new paint scheme and the styling, where the Distressed Black replaces the Danish Camo Satin. Other than that, the two remain almost the same. The main construction features include a solid and beveled mahogany body (classic twin-horn double cutaway, offset waist), a three-piece mahogany neck (Thin U profile, set-in joint), a 24-fret fingerboard made of Macassar ebony (XJ frets, 1.65" molded string nut, 24.75" scale, 13.77" radius), two-piece hardtail bridge, Lars`s signature Seymour Duncan pickups, and Gotoh tuners.
