Fender`s Custom Shop is in charge of production of the best and finest Fender guitars in the world. Custom Shop`s policy of ultimate quality of both build and tone has brought them cult status. Despite the high prices and exclusivity, Fender Custom Shop models remain hugely popular with players of all styles. For 2013, Custom Shop has prepared a five-model line for the Limited series. One of the models is Limited La Cabronita 'Gato Gordo' Jaguar. It is a solid, double-cut guitar with classic Jaguar body and 25-1/2" scale, instead of a 24" scale standard Jags have. Body is solid, flat-top and made of exclusive pieces of alder wood. Due to it`s Cabronita label, this model has no binding, nor there is a top wood cover. Classic six-saddled string-through bridge comes with hardtail construction and six adjustable saddles. It is plated in chrome. TV Jones PowerTron humbucker is featured in the bridge position, while the neck position is left vacant. Master volume and Greasebucket tone knob comprise the controls unit. Bolt-on neck is made of a single piece of quarter-sawn hard rock maple. C contour is in the back, while the 21-fret maple fingerboard is on top. 6105-sized frets are marked with black dot inlays. Tuners on this Custom Shop Cabronita are die-cast Sperzel. The MSRP is set at $5,400.
