2012 American Vintage series raises the bar when it comes to recreating the legendary guitars from the past. This series is completely renewed for 2012 and it`s models pay tribute to some of the finest Fenders ever made. These are guitars from '50s and '60s which helped form many sub-genres and genres. Chart hits made on these guitars are unbelievable. As a true offspring of it`s line, 2012 American Vintage '58 Telecaster comes with a slab-like single cutaway body. Ash is used as the body tone wood. There are no other woods featured on this body. Binding and top wood veneers are not featured on this one. Only a white plastic pickguard with vintage-styled shape. Bridge section has a vintage Tele bridge with two saddles per string, as it originally was in early days of Telecaster. Pickups on this six-stringer are New American Vintage '58 Tele single coils. Bridge pickups is traditionally slanted, while the other one sits straight in it`s designated neck position. Master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch comprise the control panel of this axe. Neck i made of maple and it features D contour in the back combined with a bolted joint. Maple fingerboard is equipped with 21 vintage frets, black dot inlays, 7.25" radius and 1.65" wide bone nut.
