Deluxe series is a bridge, of sorts, between the "Mexican" and "American" sides of Fender catalog. It offers a bit of both worlds and acts as the middle ground where both the inexperienced players and pros can find their ideal guitar. Also, Deluxe models are famous around the world for their fantastic price to quality ratio. 2016 lineup builds on the heritage of previous generations and brings some previously unseen features. For example, iOS compatibility and conventional/Fishman hybrid electronics made it onto the list. Last, but not the least, 22-fret fingerboards have become more of a rule than exception in the Deluxe series lineup. 2016 Deluxe Strat HSS is a brand new 2016 model and shares the same platform as the regular 2016 Deluxe Strat. The exception is, of course, the addition of the Twin Head Vintage humbucker in bridge position. It replaces the Vintage Noiseless single-coil featured on the SSS variant. Middle and neck pickups on the HSS model are also Vintage Noiseless single coils. Standard Strat controls unit is featured on this model as well. The body and neck are made of ash and maple, respectively, and are connected through an asymmetrical 4-bolt joint. 22-fret fingerboard (1.65" nut, 12" radius, medium jumbo frets) comes in both the maple and rosewood variety. Two-point synchronized tremolo bridge and sealed Fender tuners complete the specs list.
