American Elite is a brand new series, introduced at 2016 edition of NAMM. Currently, four models comprise the series` roster, three Strats and one Tele. General direction of the Elite line incorporates classic Fender aesthetics with modern technology and construction features. This is most notable in electronics section and neck & fingerboard features. Brand new, 4th generation of Noiseless single-coil pickups and Shawbucker humbuckers come with some cool features and controls. Necks have modern profiles and compound fingerboard radii. American Elite Stratocaster comes with a huge color palette, classic choice between rosewood and maple fingerboards, 25-1/2" scale, modern necks and modern electronics. The body of this Elite Strat is solid, flat and made of alder. It is topped with the iconic pickguard and paired with a bolt-on maple neck. The classic alder/maple chassis can be completed with either a maple or rosewood fingerboard. The neck is equipped with a morphing "C to D" profile (it starts out as classic C at the nut, but flattens to a D profile towards the bridge). The fingerboard (regardless of the version) has 22 medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 1.685" synthetic bone nut and compound 9.5"-14" radius. Trio of New 4th Generation Noiseless single-coil pickups brings a refined Stratocaster experience, without the hallmark single-coil hum. Master volume knob with an S-1 switch, two tone pots and a five-position blade switch complete the controls. Fender`s own string-through Tremolo bridge and tuners complete this vintage/modern rocker.
