For 2016 NAMM, Fender has introduced more gear than actual guitars and basses, deciding to go for quality over quantity. One of the finest fruits of this philosophy is the luxurious American Elite series of electric guitars (we sure hope to see some American Elite basses in the near future). Currently, four models comprise the lineup - three Strats and one Tele. The inspiration for the new Elite series stems from the current situation on the market, where classic looks and modern electronics and construction rule the scene. A huge selection of both solid and sunburst color options, traditional choice between rosewood and maple fingerboards and other classic Fender features are also there. American Elite Stratocaster Left Hand is currently the only left-handed model in the series lineup. It also has a very limited color palette which consists of 3-Color Sunburst option for both the rosewood and maple fingerboard versions. Solid and flat alder body and bolt-on maple neck form the chassis of this vintage/modern Strat. The neck comes with a compound C to D profile in the back and a 22-fret fingerboard on top (medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 1.685" nut and compound 9.5"-14" radius). A trio of 4th Generation Noiseless pickups steps up the game with unheard-of cleanliness of tone. Master volume knob with S-1 switch, two tone knobs and a five-position blade switch make up the controls. Fender`s own trem bridge with string-through-body construction and die-cast tuners wrap the specs list.
