Blacktop Series models are modern renditions of traditional Fender models. These instruments are oriented primarily to young musicians and modern rock guitarists. The series features Strats, Teles, Jaguars and Jazzmasters, and there is something for everyone. This Blacktop Jaguar 90 is the second and a bit softer Jaguar in the Blacktop lineup. Instead of two humbuckers, it has two P-90 single coil pickups. They are controlled through master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch. P-90s, even though being single coils, can outperform many humbuckers if the need arises. The bridge is an adjust-o-matic with an anchored tailpiece. The bridge is plated in chrome. The body of this Jaguar is a solid flat top and made of alder with a distinctive Jaguar cutaway. This model is available in 2 tone sunburst and candy apple red. Both of these options are finished in polyester gloss. The neck is made of maple and features a C contour with a bolt-on joint. The back of the neck is sealed in urethane. The fingerboard on this model is made of rosewood and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and dot inlays. This fingerboard also has a 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut and 9.50" radius with the scale length of Jaguar`s standard 24 inches. This model is introduced for the year 2012 and will also be featured at the NAMM 2012 Show. The MSRP for this Blacktop Jaguar 90 is set at $739.99 for both color options.
