Chris Shiflett is a member of Foo Fighters for years now and is one of the main members. His guitar prowess is widely known and respected, not just by the fans, but also by his colleagues and peers. Big, fat sound and Telecaster contour comprise what Chris is all about. Now, Fender gives him one such instrument, with his name on it. Chris Schiflett signature Telecaster Deluxe is introduced for fall 2012 and it comes with a classic single cut-contoured body made of alder. There are no top wood or binding options available for this deluxe tele. Big pickguard covers a half of top surface and besides decoration, it serves as electronics cover. Bridge section is equipped with a hardtail bridge with string-through construction and it`s plated in chrome. In front of this bridge Fender installs a pair of active humbuckers. New CS1 is in the bridge and New CS2 in the neck position. These two have split volume and tone knobs. There is no coil splitting available for this model. Pickup switch is a three-way toggle. Neck is made of maple and it sports a C contour with urethane finish. It`s bolted to the body and topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 21 medium jumbo-sized frets, 12" radius and 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard. Hardware is plated in chrome on this one and scale measures standard 25-1/2".
