Modern Player Series is dedicated to the production of the most affordable guitars and basses with Fender badge on them. This series is envisioned as player`s first Fender and possibly first guitar. The concept is to offer the younger generations jsut what they need, modern guitars and basses with a touch of tradition. Modern tone and construction are matched with some of the most iconic Fender designs, such as Tele, Strat, Precision, Jazzmaster, etc. With reasonable pricing and more than decent quality of tone and build, Fender`s Modern Player line has a strong position on the market. Modern Player Mustang is one of six models introduced into the series for summer 2013. It comes with a solid and double-cut Mustang body made of pine wood. This flat-top comes with a classic floating bridge with vibrato bar. Chrome plating and six adjustable saddles are featured on the bridge. Modern Player MP-90 pickups with separate on/off sliders are installed in the front. Master volume and master tone knobs complete the controls. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features the modern C contour in the back. It is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. This 24"-scaled Mustang is also equipped with vintage tuners, 9.50" fingerboard radius, medium jumbo frets and 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut.
